About The Village Woman
2005 marks our 24th anniversary. We opened in 1981 when the plus size woman's fashion choices were few. From the start, our belief was that a plus size woman should not have to sacrifice style, color or fashion because she needed a larger size. She also should not have to look matronly in only black
or navy polyester. We have held true to this belief throughout the years by offering new updated, quality looks in exciting colors, textures and styles! Our collection is primarily sized 14w - 26w and 1x - 4x. We have been in the same location for 24 years. Our shop occupies a 70 year old 2 story log cabin nestled in a nostalgic village of shops called Rancocas Woods in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. We are owner operated and listen to our customers in an effort to cater to her fashion needs.
We travel to New York City and the West Coast to shop many lines that are unique and tasteful, and would complement our assortment. We provide the professional woman with many fashion options too. Our feeling is that a woman should not see herself coming and going in the same "cookie cutter" outfits. Therefore, we pride ourselves in carrying looks not found in every major department store or mall. A woman should feel comfortable in her own style.
